NYC - 1996 - Somewhere in Manhattan
I saw this scene - no idea what they did demonstrate for - and snapped this photo. When I made the album, this picture landed on the "not to use"-pile. Recently, I stumbled upon it and scanned it.

Happy New Year!
Hubble image of the Crab Nebula - too late for christmas, but at least for the a new entry for the the last days ot 2012.
It was sometimes a bizarre year - with many highlights and and some really sad moments.
And now it is over in some days. Lets see what 2013 brings.
My friends, I wish you a happy new year!

R.I.P. Neil Armstrong
August 25th, 2012 - Neil Armstrong, aged 82, the first man on the moon is dead. I was shocked about the news, just recently I saw one of his very rare interviews that he gave last march, where he talked about his history-making adventure on the moon, the dangers of training to be an astronaut, etc.
He was always my hero. As a kid of not more than 4 years, my family and me watched the now legendary scenes from the moon, and I remember also the landing of the capsule in the ocean, and the smiling astronauts in the quarantine-chamber.
He was one of the twelve men who walked on the moon, but he was the first who left his footprints in the grey dust of this companion of our blue planet.
May he rest in peace.

Wizard No. 1 - 1991
http://theyellowedpages.blogspot.ch/2012/07/us-wizard-issue-1-september-1991.html
Interesting article from "The Yellowed Pages". I missed the first issues, but I was a regular reader of this great magazine. Unfortunately, it changed in its last years to a movie-magazine (and not a very good one... - compared to EMPIRE or TOTAL FILM) and the comic-part was more and more boring. The internet was there with more actual comic news and so I stopped buying it one day. And in 2011, the magazine was cancelled.
